Hi, Some of you will know me from the Stitchlinks Forum as Cinders. My name is Ruth and I suffer from Fibromyalgia, Depression and Panic Disorder. The Fibro has left me semi-disabled and housebound. As well as using knitting to help with the pain and depression I started dyeing my own yarns. As I started to dye more than I could possibly use and started to give them to friends I decided to expand my hobby and sell my yarns as well. Hence Black Cat Fibres was born.
I take my inspiration for dyeing from things I see around me and sometimes just by looking at my dye pots and seeing what colours jump out at me. I also love art and paint and dyeing makes me feel like a big kid splashing colours around!!
I use finest quality, luxury yarns which I kettle dye in my kitchen using wash fast acid dyes. All yarns are dyed in a smoke free, cat-friendly environment . The cats dont go near the yarns though.
I hope you enjoy knitting with my yarns as much as I enjoy dyeing them.
Regards Ruth
